These can be used, subject to individual completion requirements, towards completing the Diploma
or Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and, ultimately, Chartered Financial Planner status.

NB - the information contained in these documents is current as at Dec 2008 and students should always check with the CII directly to ensure that the credits would be awarded to them based upon their exam qualifications.
2009 Training Courses- Financial Advice Qualifications
The April Exams are between 21st and 24th April.
HDC Limited is providing various training courses which would assist anyone who is planning to take any of the CII Financial Advice Qualifications and this training is taking place locally in Matfield Village Hall near Paddock Wood, Kent. They have provided the following detail:-
What courses are being run?
We are running structured courses for the April Exams. These consist of four parts:
- Kick Start Day
- Ongoing distance learning
- Revision Day
- One to one Coaching Session
The actual dates for each course and exam are included on the attached document, together with a more detailed explanation.
We have focused on training days for the diploma courses J01-J05 for this exam session, but for anyone who requires assistance with other exams in the CII array, please contact us and we should be able to provide one to one coaching (fee rate £100 per hour no VAT).
Costs
The fee is £650 (No VAT) per delegate per course and is reduced to £600 (still no VAT) if you decide to attend two or more. Additionally, if you book and pay before 23rd January 2009, a further, early bird discount, of £100, applies per course, making the cost £1,000 for two courses.
Venue
The courses will all be held at Matfield Village Hall (TN12 7JX), which is approximately ½ an hour from M25 Junction 5, along the A21. Alternatively, you could travel to Paddock Wood. Paddock Wood is near Tunbridge Wells in Kent and approximately 3/4 hour by direct train from Charing Cross/London Bridge (collection/delivery from/to the station can be arranged on request).
Full directions together with a complete agenda will be provided in response to completed booking forms.
Timings
All the courses are one day intense sessions running from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. We will work hard, but hope to have some fun along the way.
Trainer
Heather Dunne has worked in the industry for over twenty years in many roles and has full CII and was one of the first fifty to acquire fellowship of SOFA as the PFS was then known. She has worked as a trainer for the LIA, SOFA and now the PFS. She has undertaken exam work on the old and new style PFS exams (plus IFS and SII exams) in many capacities, including question writing, course writing, manual reviews, examiner and senior examiner. She also worked with NPI training G60 and prepared (with associates) the distance learning material which was provided up until the takeover by AMP. Subsequently she worked in T&C with BBN. For the last six years she has run her own Pension Transfer Consultancy and training firm.
